This spring we are asking all students attending Connecticut Schools to come forward and “Make a Difference” If you are a school leader or just a great event planner this project is for you! Your event/sales could last for one week, on the final day of the event if you would like, Sandy and her daughters will come tell “The Story of CUREchief” to your students. On February 3rd Sandy had the honor of meeting and speaking to over 500 Students and Teachers at Green Acres Elementary School in North Haven Connecticut, where they collected over $1000.00 in donations and passed forward over 500 CUREchiefs! September 5, 2011- Sandra Centorino and her daughters Steph & Allie found a sweet spot to visit this summer in Wallingford CT. it’s called Kiwi Spoon! Actually it was their family friend Grady Gavigan who found it first, and told all his friends! The Centorino’s are co-founders of The CUREchief Foundation based in Cheshire, CT. whose mission is to spread hope to those with cancer, by providing them CUREchiefs (soft handmade bandanas) as a way to comfort them.

Their friend Grady is a certified Zumba Instructor who teaches Zumba at the Live Love Dance Fitness Studio in Prospect CT., owned by Tami Dragon.

Grady who has been a dedicated volunteer of CUREchief said “ When I heard about ZUMBAlicious I thought it was an awesome idea! Recently my family lost a cousin to cancer. I was happy to step up and volunteer to help CUREchief raise awareness.” “My daughters and their friends take part in Grady’s Zumba classes and have so much fun exercising, Grady is such a caring and giving young man said Sandra Centorino, I was so touched when he volunteered his talent.” Recently on a trip to Kiwi Spoon we thought wouldn’t it be so cool to have a fundraiser event here, people would love it!
Sandra decided to call and speak to Anthony, Amy and Tommy the owners, and made an appointment to stop in and tell them about her love for Kiwi Spoon and Zumba, and how both could benefit her family charity CUREchief. This event is a perfect mix of SWEET & FUN they all agreed!

On Saturday October 1, 2011 from 11am-2pm, the start of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Grady and the owners of Kiwi Spoon will team up and host an event to benefit The CUREchief Foundation.
It will be a Zumbalicious time for all ages and a great way to spread awareness of our foundation.
The parking lot at Kiwi Spoon will turn into a dance floor to learn some Zumba moves. Guests may choose to Zumba and then enjoy an 8oz treat from Kiwi Spoon on the house! A frozen yogurt with many toppings that create a healthy desert!
Each participate will make a $10 donation and receive a complimentary CUREchief to take and pass forward to someone they know with cancer.
In addition Kiwi Spoon will give away CUREchiefs to customers for the entire month of October.

Great Music, Dancing and Delicious Frozen Yogurt from Kiwi Spoon, and some fun and prizes. Special Guest!
