CUREchief receives 25k award from Aetna and the Aetna Foundation!

CUREchief is honored and excited to announce that on October 1st we will be teaming up with Aetna to spread HOPE around the United States! Take a look for yourself… www.aetna.com
Aetna has been a huge sponsor and supporter of CUREchief for several years now, thanks to a dedicated volunteer named Judy Lackey, who was introduced to us by a National Day of Caring Day she showed up at with several co-workers many years ago at our CUREchief Volunteer Center in Cheshire!
Thanks to Judy, many employees of Aetna make CUREchiefs and deliver them around the US.
The Aetna Foundation has sponsored several events and have awarded us grants for many projects involving their employees.

Gov. Jodi Rell Declares June 2009 “CUREchief Month” in Connecticut!

Hope you are all planning and looking forward to a great summer 
June is officially “CUREchief Month” in Connecticut-declared by our Governor Jodi Rell~
We will be making some stops around the state to deliver CUREchiefs and visiting with some patients.

April 19- April 25th is National Volunteer Week.
Volunteers are a special breed of people. They give their time, talents and often their treasures without ever asking for anything in return.
The CUREchief Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every volunteer that has made a “Message of Hope” card; cut, sewn and packaged a CUREchief, made a delivery , or made a donation. Because of all your hard work and dedication, we have created well over 150,000 CUREchiefs and these numbers continue to grow.

Hello Everyone,
Joe and I would like to personally invite you to join us at our next Parish Project. this Saturday. The Parish Project is held , 9-2 in the Social Center at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, located at 78 Litchfield Road, Harwinton,CT. This event is great for the entire family. We offer a pot luck lunch and encourage you to bring a dish if you are planning to join us for the meal. Hope to you on Saturday!

Hello,
I have recently had bilateral mastectomies and am undergoing chemo
treatment and unable to work at this time so, unfortunately, I am unable to
donate at this time. HOWEVER I will share your website with my friends
and family in hopes that they may be able to help your cause as I was very
surprised and thankful, when my wonderful Nurse, Beth, at CT Multi-
Specialty gave me one of your CUREchiefs.
I LOVE IT AND WEAR IT ALL THE TIME NOW! IT IS SO BRIGHT AND
CHEERFUL IT REALLY HELPS TO LIFT MY SPIRITS. PLEASE RELAY

The Story of the CUREchief
It began with some very special people... My daughters Steph and Allie and my best friend Patti. The girls are into the hottest of fashion, and my friend Patti has survived cancer. This simple little triangle of fabric, that we have named the "CUREchief"®, brings HOPE and warm and fuzzy feelings around the world to cancer patients as well as those with Alopecia and other conditions that may cause hair loss. Both children and adults wear the CUREchief®, on their head like a kerchief, or around their neck as a cool scarf. Every CUREchief® is handmade by volunteers, who we refer to as "Caring People Brought Together Through Fabric"® CUREchiefs® are delivered to people of all ages. They are a constant reminder that they are in the thoughts of others who care, and that they are not alone.
We hope you enjoy your CUREchief®, and help us spread HOPE around the world.
